We want you to get the care you deserve.

A practice grounded in connection, compassion, and evidence-based care.

Courtney James Counselling & Psychotherapy is a warm, team-based practice supporting children, teens, adults, couples, families, and therapists.

We believe therapy should feel safe and human — a space where you can show up as you are and feel genuinely supported.

A human approach.

Our work blends relational, trauma-informed, and evidence-based approaches to help clients navigate their experiences with clarity and compassion.

Our Story

Founded in 2020 by Clinical Director Courtney Vezina, the practice began as a solo office and naturally expanded as fellow therapists and Clinical Interns joined the team.

Our growth has been steady and intentional, shaped by the values we hold: authenticity, collaboration, and a deep respect for each client’s lived experience.

Today, our multi-location practice is supported by Registered Psychotherapists, Registered Social Workers, Clinical Interns, and a thoughtful administrative team who ensure clients feel welcomed and cared for from the moment they reach out.

We’re also committed to community impact through our annual post-secondary scholarship program.

Courtney’s work is grounded in her doctoral research in self-compassion and caregiver well-being, alongside her lived experience in the foster care and adoption community.

She leads the practice with warmth, collaboration, and a commitment to sustainable mental health — for both clients and therapists.

Courtney is currently accepting Clinical Supervision clients only.
