Ainsley’s therapeutic beliefs honour human healing from a holistic perspective, in which all aspects of the human in relationship offers a bigger picture and deeper understanding of human suffering and its potential for healing.

Ainsley works with individuals and relationships (couples/families) navigating relationship concerns, communication challenges and adjustment to life-cycle transitions. Having lived courageously with type 1 diabetes for 30+ years, she has a sincere compassion in working with those navigating the psycho-social impacts of chronic illness on emotional and relational well-being.
Ainsley’s professional practice is warm, intuitive, and authentic. It is inspired by such humanistic approaches as analytical psychology (Carl Jung), narrative therapy, and systems theory. She integrates Internal Family Systems, Polyvagal Theory, as well as somatic practices into her sessions. Her therapeutic work is trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and supportive toward nervous system regulation.

Ainsley’s entry into professional practice began in 2024 following the completion of a Master of Arts degree in Counselling & Spirituality, with a concentration in Individual, Couple & Family Counselling, from Saint Paul University. Ainsley is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (#15945).
Ainsley has a professional background in the private recreational setting, where for over 20 years she has shared her love of music and movement with children and their families by teaching dance.
