Approach & Areas of Focus
Therapy
Courtney’s approach is grounded in trauma-informed, attachment-focused practice, and shaped by a humanistic, person-centered lens. She believes that how we relate to one another — and how we remember or carry early relational experiences — influences everything from emotional regulation to identity, connection, and self-worth. Her work is supportive yet deep, always tailored to the individual’s story rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
Areas of focus include:
Attachment and relational challenges
Developmental trauma
Foster care and adoption-related experiences
Anxiety and emotional regulation
Relationship dynamics and family systems
Courtney also incorporates advanced frameworks such as Emotion-Focused Therapy and Gottman Method in ways that honour each person’s unique journey.
Clinical Supervision
Courtney offers supervision that reflects the same thoughtful, relational stance she brings to clinical practice. Her supervision is not just about meeting requirements, but about nurturing clinicians’ confidence, clarity, and ethical development within a trauma-informed and attachment-aware context.
Supervision may include:
Reflective case consultation
Attachment-based clinical exploration
Skill building in trauma- and relationship-centred practice
Support for developing therapeutic presence and boundaries
