Kelsey Douglas
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
Kelsey brings a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental presence to therapy. She values creating a safe, empathetic space where clients can build insight, strengthen self-compassion, and feel supported in making changes that improve everyday life. Kelsey takes a holistic perspective and believes meaningful growth often comes from increasing awareness — both emotionally and physically — rather than pushing for quick fixes.
Approach & Areas of Focus
Kelsey’s work is grounded in client-centred and trauma-informed care, using an integrative approach tailored to each person’s needs. She draws from collaborative, evidence-informed modalities such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Somatic/Body-Centred psychotherapy.
She also incorporates psychodynamic-informed practices and somatic-based tools, helping clients understand the patterns that show up in their lives while paying attention to how stress and emotion can live in the body. This mind-body lens is often especially supportive for clients who feel stuck in their thoughts, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves.
Kelsey commonly supports clients with:
Anxiety and self-esteem concerns
Self-harm and grief
Relational and childhood trauma, including sexual assault experiences
Increasing insight, awareness, and self-compassion
Family support to strengthen communication, connection, and respect
