Amie Scott

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Amie works with children (10+), adolescents and young adults as they navigate life’s challenges — from emotional stress and self-esteem concerns to relationship struggles and transitions. She offers a warm, non-judgmental, and supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and understood, believing that therapy is about discovering personal strengths, developing resilience, and walking alongside clients as they grow.

Approach & Areas of Focus

Amie’s approach is flexible, collaborative, holistic, and integrative, rooted in evidence-based modalities but tailored to each person’s unique needs. She believes in building on clients’ strengths while developing coping strategies, tools, and skills in areas where they struggle — all within a compassionate, client-guided process.

She creates space for increased self-awareness, confidence, healthy self-expression, and effective communication, incorporating compassion-focused and mindfulness-based interventions. Her work often supports:

  • Managing emotions and stress

  • Improving self-esteem and self-regulation

  • Strengthening social skills and healthy relationships

  • Navigating changes and life transitions

  • Exploring positive coping strategies and resilience building

Amie meets children and adolescents with patience and playful, age-appropriate approaches so they feel comfortable and engaged. As a mother of two and with a background in education as an elementary school teacher, she works with children and adolescents to support social, emotional, and behavioural development.
