Mental Health Scholarship Opportunity

The scholarship of $1,000 is available to applicants who meet the following criteria:

  • 2024 High School Graduate

  • Accepted into an Undergraduate Degree program majoring in Psychology or Social Work

  • Resident of North Grenville, Ontario (Kemptville and surrounding area)

A complete application must be submitted in order to be considered for this scholarship. Please find the link below and complete all fields; which includes a 250-500 word write up describing your desire and passion to work in the field of Mental Health and/or Therapy.

Applications can be submitted until June 1st, 2024 at 11:59pm

We are excited to announce our FOURTH annual Post Secondary Scholarship opportunity for members of the North Grenville Community!!!

Why?

In an effort to encourage those entering the Mental Health field and in support of our community, we have continued our scholarship of $1,000 to be applied to the 2024-2025 academic school year.

Previous Recipients

  • 2021

    Samantha was the first recipient of the Mental Health Scholarship from Courtney James Counselling and Psychotherapy. She went on to begin her Undergraduate Degree in Psychology in the fall of 2021 at Tyndale University with plans to pursue further education in the field of Psychology afterward. Samantha demonstrates an eagerness to support others and has a passion for connecting meaningful therapy with animals and nature. 

  • 2022

    Cheyenne was the second recipient of the Mental Health Scholarship from Courtney James Counselling and Psychotherapy. She went on to begin her Undergraduate Degree in Psychology in the fall of 2022 at Western University with plans to pursue further education in the field of Neuropsychology afterward. Cheyenne demonstrates an eagerness to learn and offer a space for others to experience feeling validated and supported through her compassionate support.

  • 2023

    Harnoor was the third recipient of the Mental Health Scholarship from Courtney James Counselling and Psychotherapy. She is set to begin her Undergraduate Degree in Psychology at Carleton University in September 2023. Her passion for supporting, uplifting and helping others will be motivating as she pursues her educational and professional goals.
