Rachel Capron

MC (Masters of Counselling), and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Rachel supports adolescents, adults, and couples who are navigating patterns of stress, interpersonal challenges, and life transitions. She brings a thoughtful, collaborative presence to therapy, and strives to create a safe space where clients feel truly heard and understood. Rachel believes that healing and growth happen through increased awareness, mutual trust, and intentional engagement with one’s thoughts, emotions, and relationships.

Approach & Areas of Focus

Rachel practices from a client-centred, trauma-informed framework, meeting clients with empathy, curiosity, and respect for their unique experiences. She integrates principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychodynamic approaches, and Gottman Couples Therapy, tailoring her work to each client’s goals and context. Rachel believes that behaviour and patterns are often rooted in adaptive responses to past experiences, and that exploring these origins with compassion can open the door to meaningful change.

Rachel’s work often involves helping clients:

  • Understand and shift persistent patterns that no longer serve them

  • Enhance self-awareness and emotional insight

  • Strengthen relationships and connection with others

  • Navigate transitions in life, identity, and partnership

  • Cultivate resilience and psychological flexibility

Training & Experience

Rachel completed her Master of Counselling and is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). Her background in psychology — including a minor in neuroscience and mental health — deepened her interest in personal growth and the interplay between mind and behaviour. Rachel is ACT-informed and trained in Gottman Couples Therapy, which she integrates alongside trauma-informed, client-centred, and psychodynamic principles to create a thoughtful, personalized therapeutic experience. She is committed to ongoing learning and providing care that honours both insight and practical skill-building.
