Meet Our Team
Courtney McCarney
Courtney works with teens (16+) and adults who are navigating trauma, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and the impact of difficult life experiences. She brings a warm, steady presence to therapy, helping clients feel supported as they build insight, confidence, and coping skills that translate into everyday life.
Mackenzie Wright
Mackenzie works with youth (12+), adults, and couples who may be struggling with grief, trauma, self-esteem, relationship concerns, stress, burnout, and anxiety. Her previous experience as a first responder and a supportive counsellor for survivors of domestic violence has helped develop her client-centered, trauma-informed, and harm-reduction approach that meets clients where they are in their wellness journey.
Debbie Smith
Debbie brings a steady, down-to-earth approach to counselling — the kind of support that helps you feel understood, capable, and less alone in what you’re carrying. With decades of experience in child welfare and a strengths-based lens, she meets clients where they’re at and helps them build practical momentum forward.
Natalie Laviolette
Natalie is the Administrative Assistant at Courtney James Therapy and is often the first point of contact for clients reaching out to the practice. She supports scheduling, intake coordination, and day-to-day clinic operations, helping ensure the experience of connecting with the team feels smooth, clear, and welcoming.
Courtney Vezina
Courtney supports children, teens, adults, and families navigating the impact of trauma, attachment challenges, and complex life experiences. She brings a calm, compassionate presence to her work, creating a space where people feel safe, understood, and supported as they begin to heal. Alongside her clinical work, Courtney also offers attachment-informed clinical supervision; at this time, she is accepting new supervisees only.
