Meet Samantha…

Samantha completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in History, where she explored how people make meaning and how transitions shape our inner world. Her work in people development, along with her experience as a crisis counsellor, gave her a deep appreciation for the strength people hold even in vulnerable moments. These experiences revealed the resilience people already carry and the power of strengthening those inner resources. She is completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and is in the process of registering with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

Samantha is passionate about therapeutic work because she believes that understanding our stories can help us shape new ones, and that people are not defined by what has happened to them. She is inspired by the resilience individuals carry, even when they cannot yet see it themselves, and by the possibility that emerges when someone finally has a safe place to make sense of their experiences with compassion. She believes therapy can help people reconnect with their inner strength, soften old patterns, and move toward a life that feels more aligned and hopeful.

Samantha values the transformative power of a safe, attuned therapeutic relationship as she meets with individual clients (children ages 7+, teens, adults) and couples. She is committed to helping clients understand their internal world with greater kindness, uncover strengths they may have overlooked, and create meaningful shifts that support emotional well-being. She takes a holistic, flexible, and responsive approach shaped by each client’s unique experiences, strengths, and needs. Grounded in a person-centred and trauma-informed approach, she draws from evidence-based theories including CBT, Narrative Therapy, ACT, Psychodynamic, and Solution-Focused Therapy. As a developing clinician, she continues to deepen her skills through ongoing training and close supervision.
