Meet Rachel…

During her undergraduate studies in psychology, with a minor in neuroscience and mental health, Rachel developed a strong desire for self-knowledge and personal growth. As a graduate student, currently completing her Masters in Counselling, this passion has solidified into a commitment to supporting others on their own paths toward healing and self-discovery.

Rachel is ACT informed and trained in Gottman Couples Therapy. She takes a collaborative, client-centered, trauma-informed approach to therapy, integrating psychodynamic principles. Rachel believes that our behaviours and perspectives were once adaptive responses to our past experiences. By exploring their origins, we can develop the awareness and tools to shift patterns that no longer serve us, aligning our actions with our present goals.

In your first sessions, Rachel aims to understand what has and hasn’t worked for you in the past, your current challenges, and what has made moving forward difficult. She takes a holistic approach - considering family life, relationships, routines, digital consumption, and any other aspects you deem important. Above all, therapy is a collaborative, client-driven process.

By deepening self-awareness, embracing new perspectives, and taking ownership of our experiences, we can positively influence not only our own lives but also of those closest to us. It is Rachel’s belief that strong, fulfilling relationships with ourselves and others, are at the core of well-being, personal fulfillment, and life satisfaction. No matter the obstacles we face, we have the capacity to cultivate resilience, strengthen our connections, and lead purposeful, thriving lives.
