Meet Heidi…

Heidi is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP), who obtained her Master of Arts in Psychology from Carleton University in 2015, and her Master of Arts in Counselling and Spirituality from Saint Paul University in 2017. Her study and training came from a generalist perspective, meaning she has been exposed to multiple therapy modalities, with the therapeutic relationship being the main driving force behind positive change.

Heidi believes that therapy is incredibly valuable for individuals to have conversations to foster insight into their sufferings and struggles, for the purpose of greater self-understanding and creating internal shifts that allow for meaningful living. To this end, she uses concepts from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and draws on principles from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Self-Compassion approaches.

Heidi provides psychotherapy and counselling services for individuals ages 16+ struggling with depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief, workplace related issues, and the effects of trauma. Her goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space for exploring these issues and helping clients find their strengths and resilience.
